Mission Statement

To serve as a forum for San Diego region public agencies to develop partnerships, and share information, ideas, strategies, and solutions regarding the management of GIS and related technologies in order to provide more efficient and effective service to our agencies and constituents.

Council Charter

Anyone who wishes to participate in the SDRGC is required to complete the membership application.

April 2012 Meeting Minutes have been posted. Steve Hossack’s presentation from the April 2012 CalGIS Council meeting can be found on the Documents page.

January 2012 Meeting Minutes have been posted. Presentations on current and future SanGIS projects, and how GIS informed the implications of Jessica’s Law can be found on the Documents page.

October 2011 Meeting Minutes have been posted. Presentations on the Carlsbad GIS Program, Smart Growth from SANDAG, Automated Aerial Imagery collection and processing from SDSU/Terra Pan, and the Final Imagery Survey from Farm Services Agency can be found on the Documents page.

Wildfire hazard website developed by DTS Agile. DTS Agile is working with the County of San Diego to develop something similar in San Diego.

The ArcGIS Server Technical Working Committee has reconstituted. Minutes from last May's meeting can be found on the committee page.

The appellate court opinion regarding Sierra Club v. Orange County regarding access to/sale of GIS data with respect to the California Public Records Act has been posted on the Documents page.

First iteration of the Elevation Inventory for the state of California can be downloaded from the documents page. This includes a shapefile locator for the data sets, a list of data sets, an explanation of the National Enhanced Elevation Assessment, and a general FAQ on elevation.
