GIS Professional Development Program

About the Program

The GIS Professional Development Program provides students and graduates with opportunities to enhance their career readiness in the field of Geographic Information Systems. Through job shadowing and speed-networking experiences, students and graduates can gain firsthand insight into the daily responsibilities of GIS professionals, fostering a deeper understanding of the industry. Resume review sessions help students and graduates polish their application materials while mock interviews allow students and graduates to practice their interview skills in a supportive environment while receiving constructive feedback from experienced mentors. Additionally, students and graduates can work on short-term projects that apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges and explore internship placements that offer practical, hands-on experience. These opportunities not only build essential skills but also fosters a robust professional network, empowering students and graduates to confidently pursue careers in GIS.
